Combat sports are about to cross a boundary no one ever expected. To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence, the UFC is throwing the rulebook out the window for a once-in-a-generation spectacle: UFC Freedom 250 (also known as UFC White House).
This isn't a standard pay-per-view at a Las Vegas arena. Construction has already begun to place the iconic UFC Octagon directly onto the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C.
Whether you are an MMA diehard or a casual fan drawn in by the sheer madness of the venue, here is your ultimate guide to the most unique fight card in sports history.
The Event Schedule & Logistics
UFC Freedom 250 isn't just a single night of fights; it is an entire weekend takeover of the nation's capital.
Friday, June 12: The Press Conference – Taking place live at the Lincoln Memorial (8:00 PM ET). It is free and open to the public.
Saturday, June 13: Fan Fest & Weigh-Ins – Held at The Ellipse. It includes the ceremonial weigh-ins and a headlining concert by the Zac Brown Band.
Sunday, June 14: Fight Night – The main card kicks off live from the White House South Lawn. June 14th also marks Flag Day and President Donald Trump's 80th birthday.
How to Watch: The event will stream live exclusively on Paramount+ on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT, with select preliminary bouts broadcasting on CBS.
The Fight Card: Two Historic Title Bouts
Dana White has promised a compact, high-impact event featuring seven total fights. The top of the bill features massive legacy implications.
Main Event: Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje
Undisputed UFC Lightweight Championship Unification
The undefeated, undisputed champion Ilia Topuria faces the absolute violence of interim titleholder Justin Gaethje. Topuria is looking to cement his status as the pound-for-pound king and has already teased moving up to welterweight for a third belt if he wins. Standing in his way is Gaethje, the ultimate human highlight reel, who gets the chance to win undisputed gold in the most "American" setting possible.
Co-Main Event: Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane
Interim UFC Heavyweight Championship
Former two-division champion Alex "Poatan" Pereira makes his highly anticipated heavyweight debut. If Pereira can defeat the elite kickboxing specialist Ciryl Gane, he will become the first fighter in UFC history to hold championship belts in three different weight divisions (Middleweight, Light Heavyweight, and Heavyweight).

High Stakes, Missing Millions, and Star Power
While the crowd on the actual South Lawn will be highly exclusive—limited to roughly 4,000 invited guests, dignitaries, and celebrities like Dwayne Johnson, Tom Brady, and Jared Leto—the UFC is letting everyday fans in on the action. The nearby viewing party at The Ellipse is expected to host up to 85,000 fans for free.
UFC CEO Dana White openly admitted that due to the unprecedented logistical and security hurdles of building an arena on active federal property, the UFC expects to lose millions of dollars out-of-pocket to produce the event.
"This is basically me spending a stload of money to celebrate the 250th birthday of America, with America and the rest of the world," White told TIME magazine.
Because the event takes place on federal property, it bypasses traditional state athletic commissions. Instead, it is being independently overseen by the Association of Boxing Commissions (ABC) to ensure top-tier safety, judging, and refereeing.
